"Matt passed away while working on a construction site in West Philadelphia," wrote fellow Insulators Union member Maria Pfrommer on GoFundMe

"This is a tragedy that hits too close to home, a stark reminder of the dangers our brothers and sisters face every day on construction sites nationwide and just how short life is."

A spokesperson for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration said Holloran's death is under investigation.

Holloran, 49, of Glenmoore, is survived by a wife and three children, Pfrommer says. His father, brother, and uncle were also Local 14 members.

"We know that there’s nothing we can do to change this tragic outcome and we are all praying for the family," Pfrommer wrote.

"We would like to do something In honor of Matt's memory and in support of his family during this incredibly difficult time; therefore, we've established this GoFundMe campaign. All proceeds will go directly to Matt's family and will be given to the family when the donations have subsided."

As of Tuesday, May 14, donors have pledged more than $28,000 to the memorial fund.
